A heart-wrenching case has come to light in Patna. Just 130 meters away from Pataliputra police station, criminals have murdered an elderly couple. Prima facie it appears that both of them have been brutally murdered. There are serious wound marks on the head. The incident took place on Tuesday on the first floor of house number 62 located on Nehru Nagar Road number 2 of Pataliputra police station area. There was panic in the area after the incident. There was a crowd of people nearby. The deceased have been identified as NK Srivastava (74) and his wife Sujata Devi (68), residents of Pachalkhi village in Nautan police station area of Siwan. NK Srivastava was a retired officer of Biscomaun.

Here, as soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and started investigation. The forensic team was immediately called. Patna Central SP Sweety Sehrawat said that the incident appears to have happened on Tuesday afternoon. There was a dispute between the couple around 1 pm. People had heard the noise. The body of an elderly woman was found in the kitchen. Her husband’s body was in the bedroom. Evidence of looting has not been found yet. The couple has three sons. One lives in Netherlands, the other in Dubai and the third in Delhi. Only the couple lived in Patna. Tenants live on the ground floor.
